After earning his undergraduate Bachelors degree, Dr. Jeffrey Cain was commissioned as an Army Infantry officer for six years where he served in various Company-level leadership positions. Dr. Cain left the Infantry community in 1994 to attend medical school at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. Upon graduation from USUHS in 1998, he completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Darnall Army Medical Center, Ft Hood TX in 2001. From 2001 to 2003, he served as the Battalion Physician for the 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, and one combat deployment to Operation Iraqi Freedom.
From 2003 to 2005, he served as the Chief, Academic Division for the Department of Combat Medic Training in Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Dr. Cain also served as the Chief of Emergency Medicine for Reynolds Army Community Hospital at Ft Sill, OK from 2005 through 2007, and completed his Army career in 2008 as a Research Physician with the US Army Institute of Surgical Research. Dr. Cain is currently the Medical Director for Texas Health Resources ER in McKinney, TX, and is proud to be a staff Emergency Medicine physician at Coppell ER.
